Episode two

This week, Nancy and I recorded episode two of Success Story, the second season of our podcast.

It's a cracker (I think).

Please don't be offended because we touch on a subject that might be dear to many people's hearts, and we're laughing and having fun while we do it, but it's all directed at me (Nancy made me do this disclaimer).

Nancy is becoming more involved in the podcast on the advice of my pal, Alex. This one is quite conversational as we investigate the concept of disagreeability as defined by Colin Campbell.

I've had the chance to meet some of the most extraordinary people and to speak to them and to try to learn from them and to understand their stories. That happens both in work but also with patients, and some of the patients that I've treated over the years have become friends of mine who have extraordinary tales and stories of success and how they did it.

This is the start of a three-part podcast series (interspersed with interviews) that explores my idea of disagreeability and desirable difficulties.

Part two will be a showstopper, I think, and the later podcasts in this series are developing into something quite extraordinary (at least in my mind).

And so I'd encourage you to listen to this one; at least if you like podcasts, you should, and at least if you're interested to hear the story about disagreeability, you might find this interesting.

You can also go backward.

Some of the interviews from last season are amazing.

Rony Jung is here, Louis Dunne is here, Gurmit Samra (one of my favourite of all times), and Sara Symington.

We're storing up interviews left, right, and centre, and to some people's disgust, we're not using some of them because they're too beige.

We'll also use interspersed interviews in the podcast to try and explain different concepts we talk about.

It's a ton of fun, and I'm really enjoying it mainly because we'll never make any money out of it, and I'm all good with that.

And so, come and join us, Nancy and I, on this little journey while you're walking the dog, driving to work, going to sleep, and we'll see you soon.

Episode two is here.

Good luck with that.

If you want to start at the start of the season to give you some context, the intro and episode one are here.
