10 Modules Covering the Business of Dentistry

 

Each module focuses on a core aspect of running a successful dental business. Expand each section to explore the topics covered throughout the programme.

Module 1 — Introduction

The first week introduces the programme's structure and the learning platforms used throughout the course, including Slack and the Online Academy. Delegates will be assigned their first mini-project and participate in a 45-minute live webinar with Colin, the faculty, and the rest of the cohort.

Module 2 — Vision Setting

Module 2 focuses on defining your business's future direction using Simon Sinek’s “Start With Why” framework. You will explore how to clarify your purpose, values and long-term vision and develop a mission statement that resonates with both your team and your patients.

Module 3 — Finance

During the finance module, you will complete a structured finance project designed to help you better understand the numbers behind your business. This module explores revenue, profitability and financial decision-making to support long-term success.

Module 4 — Marketing

The marketing module introduces the marketing project based on proven strategies used at The Campbell Clinic and The Campbell Academy. You will explore the key elements of modern dental marketing, including brand positioning, patient acquisition and building visibility.

Module 5 — Sales

The sales module focuses on optimising the patient journey and improving case acceptance. You will learn how communication, trust and structured consultation processes help convert enquiries into treatment.

Module 6 — HR

This module introduces the HR project and focuses on building strong teams and effective people systems. Delegates explore recruitment, performance management and structured team communication.

Module 7 — Leadership

The leadership module explores the principles required to lead a modern dental practice. Delegates will examine leadership styles, decision-making and the role leaders play in shaping team culture.

Module 8 — Strategy

The strategy module explores how to build a structured strategic plan for your practice. You will learn how successful businesses plan over one-year and three-year timeframes to drive continuous improvement.

Module 9 — Business Plan

This module brings together all previous projects into a comprehensive business plan. Delegates integrate what they have learned into a structured plan for their own dental practice.

Module 10 — Course Close & Live Webinar

The final week allows delegates to complete outstanding projects and reflect on the programme. The course concludes with a live Zoom webinar with Colin and the faculty to review the journey and celebrate progress.
