Ever since The Campbell Academy has been in existence we were clear that we wanted to provide a pathway for dentists to reach in excess of 50 implants per year and to travel from straight forward to complex implant cases. The Year Two Implant Course is the next step in providing this pathway and we are now accepting bookings for 2021.
The course has been designed to give dentists who have a foundation of straightforward implant dentistry, a launchpad into more advanced and complex treatments. As a delegate you will have attended our Year One course or an equivalent dental implant course and will have some experience placing implants in your own practice.
You will work towards our philosophy of a 3-5 year pathway to implant excellence, aiming to place a minimum of 50 implants per year. For the more experienced delegate there will be the opportunity to take on advanced and complex cases under the supervision of our experienced faculty of implant dentists.
The course consists of 15 days and will be an extremely flexible format. Delegates have a selection of 3 day Live Skills courses and Master Classes to choose from allowing delegates to map their preferred implant pathway.
Please note, the course can be completed across two years if you wish. For more information please get in touch.
Colin’s practice is limited to surgical implant dentistry. Colin is a Specialist in Oral Surgery with considerable experience within the ITI and the Leadership of the ITI within the UK. He has placed in the region of 4,000 dental implants and restored approximately 1,000. He has been teaching in implant dentistry since 2000.
Colin has been the architect and designer of many implant courses previously for other organisations and now The Campbell Academy takes a considerable amount of his time in providing implant and dental education the way he believes it should be done.
Andrew has worked with Colin at the practice for the past three and a half years and has been an inspiration and an exceptional clinician providing superb treatment for The Clinic’s patients. He has embarked on a teaching career previously with Tipton Training and other independent providers and is now Colin’s Co-Director at The Campbell Academy. He has placed and restored thousands of dental implants from the most straightforward cases to the most complex.
Colin sits on the Leadership Team of the ITI UK & Ireland Section where he is the Study Club Co-Ordinator and he has an MSc in Implant Dentistry from the University of Warwick specialising in surface technology.
Colin is a fantastic clinician and a compassionate provider whose teaching skills are second to none. He has the ability to pass on concepts and ideas in a non-threatening, caring way and is a huge asset to The Campbell Academy. It is a huge privilege for us to work with him over the coming years.
Colin already provides education on the Live Skills Course for The Campbell Academy so it is a natural progression for him to be involved in the year long course.
Michael qualified in 1998 before achieving his PhD in 2001 from the University of Basel. He continued his training in Oral Surgery and Stomatology in Basel before becoming a board certified Oral Surgeon in June 2003.
Since April 2014 he has been an associate Professor at the University of Bern. Michael is a board certified Oral Surgeon with extensive experience in dental radiology, Cone Beam CT and Oral Surgery including GBR and bio-resorbable membranes.
He was instrumental in the production of the CBCT guidelines for the AO, EAO and was involved as a group leader in the most recent ITI Consensus Meeting where he reported on the CBCT guidance. Michael is an experienced pioneer in the use of CBCT in implant dentistry and his experience is second to none.
Beatriz is one of our dentists at the practice who is soon to finish her MSc in implant dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire. She is a detailed individual who loves planning and process and she has a wide experience in dentistry in general. We are delighted to have her assistance on the course as a younger dentist who has a perspective more closely aligned with the delegates on the course than people who may have been placing implants for many years. We feel it adds a great balance and roundness to the course to have younger speakers and younger members of the faculty.
