We are (always) Hiring

Recently, someone came up to me who is quite well known in implant dentistry and will become more and more known internationally because they are brilliant.

They have a high-profile job which looks from the outset to be perfect for anybody in implant dentistry, but it's in academia, which is a hard place to live.

The financial model for academia in implant dentistry, at least, is to work really, really hard and also to lecture ideally internationally around the world for big bucks every lecture.

And so, the work of the academic, which is lower paid, is subsidised by the commercial work of speaking at conferences and consulting and all that jazz.

But of course, it's exhausting because for the developing individual and young clinician, the work required in the institution is never-ending and ceaseless and thankless, and you have to get that done, and it takes long, long hours and long days.

And then the international travel is international, so it's exhausting and tiring.

Even the meals are exhausting when you're trying to communicate with people at home that you haven't spoken to for a fortnight or more.

And so I was chatting to this individual, and they were really clever, lovely, and brilliant, and then they asked me for a job.

And so the answer to that (because this happens more often than you might think) is, "Yeah, sure. I have a job for you; just come and see us" because you couldn't take a job on a picture from a website and you couldn't take a job having never met the team you would work with.

So, just to avoid doubt for anyone reading this blog, we are always hiring for every single post in our organisation, but for people who smile and who are brilliant and enthusiastic and are on our bus and see the direction that we are going.

If you are one of those people and you're waiting for an advert to come out, f*ck that, get in touch, we're always hiring.
