The Campbell Academy - Year Implant Course 2019

Every time I turn around I seem to be relaunching this course again for another year, that’s how quickly time seems to pass now.

The fourth cohort of our Year One Course will begin in January 2019 and will be limited to 12 participants.

There are already people booked on this course (as there are for most of our courses for 2019) so if you are interested it might be a good idea to give us a shout and start to have a chat. You can do that by clicking here.

I can report back to you the success and the figures of people who have previously attended this course - greater than 70% of people are placing implants at two years as a result of The Campbell Academy year courses.

This is a revelation compared to the industry standard which sits in single figures, as reported by the implant companies.

It’s worth having the discussion again though about what’s important in starting out in straightforward implant dentistry and deciding where you’d like to get to.

Forget doing an implant course if you’re planning on placing 10 – 15 implants a year, it’s simply not worth it.

It’s not worth the stress, it’s not worth the effort, it’s not worth the money you’ll lose and it’s not worth the sleepless nights you’ll have because you’ll never get good enough to be comfortable.

Huge amounts of dentists in the UK place less than 15 implants a year and it’s an unsustainable model.

It doesn’t work from a stress point of view, it doesn’t work from an indemnity point of view and it doesn’t work for the patients.

We have a long stated aim to move our delegates to 50 implants per year or more and our philosophy is ‘placing 50 implants per year, moving to 50 implants per year or stop’

That’s what this course is about. It’s the foundations for 50 a year.

We have a broad faculty that teach on this course from myself and Andy to Chris Barrow, Colin Burns (ITI Fellow and Chairman of the UK & Ireland Section) Gregor McGlashan and Anna McDonagh – people who have previously been on courses at TCA to bring a different perspective and the amazing Beatriz Sanchez who works alongside me at the clinic but has recently gone through the 50 a year barrier herself.

There are other people on the course too, there’s a huge range of experience and it’s a mixture of discussion, lecture based teaching, practical teaching and clinical work.

If you want to know what people say about the course then click here (testimonials are at the bottom of the page) and if you’re interested in joining a tribe of people who continue to talk to each other and to us long after the courses are finished then get in touch. It’d be great to have you involved.
