This is the last week of the summer holidays in our house and the last chance to draw some sort of breath before the madness of September to Christmas arrives. Over the summer we have been doing some extensive planning and scheming as far as The Academy is concerned and there are some dates for your diary that you might not have that you might be interested in.
November 17th: The Failure Conference. There is a link here to book on if you are interested. It’s already about 25% full and we anticipate that it will be full by the day. It’s a ‘not for profit’ conference exploring failure in healthcare and methods to avoid problems, be open and honest and learn.
They’ll be some surprises on the day and should be fantastic. We’ve got a Pilot, a patient and a cardiologist speaking.
November 18th: The following day we are having our Charity Ball, if you don’t know about this or want to know about it then press reply and email me back. We are hoping to go above £50,000 raised for charity in the last 4 years through the ball alone. It’s compulsory fancy dress with the theme Wild West.
One week later is our Aesthetic Skills course. There is a link here for you to see details. We have one or two possible places left on that although people are considering there options, if you wanted a place you need to be really quick or we could put you down for next year.
On the 1st and 2nd of December we will be providing a brand new course in conjunction with the ITI to provide live surgery for guys doing Year Long implant courses. I will give you more details of that later. If you are involved in the FID course with the ITI this year then maybe drop me an email (colin@campbell-clinic.co.uk).
In January our Year Implant course starts again for it’s third edition. There are some places left on that and we can give you full details on that if you email Tom (Tom@campbellacademy.co.uk)
We also start our first edition of our Year Two Advanced Implant course, there are one or two places left on that, again get hold of Tom if you would like more information.
Our usual courses are running too and filling very well including Sinus Grafting, CBCT and our Full Arch Loading course. I guess the big announcement though and the teaser for this blog is that next year again we will be running the DES conference on the 21st June that will feature Jason Smithson headlining at the end. The following two days Jason (in conjunction with The Campbell Academy) will be providing a hands-on Composite course in Nottingham over two days on the Friday and the Saturday. It’s the only time Jason will be speaking anywhere near the middle of England in 2018 and his courses always sell out. There will be an early bird discount for this up until the end of December, so if you want in early for the Smithson Composite course then email Tom here and we will reserve you a place.
Plenty of things going on and hopefully we get to see some of you guys at some of these things. It would be great to hitch up, let me know what you think.
