The vicious circle

Marie Price

So it goes like this…

The stress increases

The time decreases

The demands from other people increase

The time decreases

The complications arise from nowhere

The time decreases

The requests for urgent actions increases

The time decreases

The need to be at work increases

The time with the family decreases

The need for support from the family increases

The inclination to support from the family decreases

The urge to ‘just get through’ this next phase increases

The time decreases

The angst that the family doesn’t seem to understand increases

The quality of the relationship with the family decreases

There is another way…

Break the cycle.

When it starts to happen, see the warning signs and increase time with the family.

Sideline other things which seem important

Increase time with the family

Postpone meetings with people you don’t know very well

Increase time with the family

Without my family the rest of it is meaningless, so when the rest of it puts the strain on my family then I have to sideline the rest of it.
