TBOB 3 - A Principal's percentage of gross

One of the major factors in the future development of independent dental practices will be the reduction in the responsibility of the Principal to provide a significant part of the practice turnover.

It's becoming clear that it's more and more difficult to run a dental practice between patients and in your lunch hour so the time has come for talented Principals of individual practices to reduce down their clinical time and increase their mentoring time, business development and management time and and time to delegate key tasks to key members of their team.

The role of the practice Principal will be to guide and lead, not to see 60 hours worth of patients.

The common percentage at the present time for a talented high grossing Principal in an independent practice is approximately 60 - 70% of turnover. This is unsustainable in the future modern market and needs to be reduced down to below 20% for practices to function within a sustainable growth model.

If you're interested to learn more about how to do this then join us on the business course to help push your practice forwards to be one of the surviving  1000 independent dental practice in the next 10 years.

The Business of Business Course

This course is a year long business course with six two-day modules.

The cost of the course includes a place for two people to attend with additional places available on separate modules for people with those skills within the practice.

The course includes access to an online discussion forum and four detailed online exercises to be carried out on a time limited basis. It also includes five working course dinners and a celebratory dinner, all at exceptional venues around Nottingham.

The cost of the (inclusive of VAT) is £12,000.
