No longer good at doing it wrong…

… and not yet good at doing it right.

It’s easy for us all to stay in our comfort zone when we find a situation or a solution to a problem that works but rarely does that bring progress or move us to a better place.

The real difficult things are when you have something that works ok that you’d like to take to the level of exceptional and then you have to break it and rebuild it to get to a better level.

The problem is that in the middle of this process you are no longer good at doing it in a mediocre way but you’re not yet good at doing it in a better way and it feels like a lost and lonely place where you wish you could go backwards but the only way to go is forwards. The real satisfaction comes when you finally reach the better place and realise that the pain, agony, distress and the downs were all worth it to get to a better place.
