Following our odyssey into digital implant dentistry which began in 2009 with our first CBCT scanner but ramped up two years ago when we integrated CEREC into the practice for implant treatments, we wanted to share that with as many people as possible and show what is feasible and, at the moment, reasonable.
With that in mind we have put together an Introduction to Guided Implant Surgery Master Class to try and de-myth some of the basis concepts of guided surgery, both good and bad. There are many ways to provide this type of platform but we wanted to explore as many as possible in the introduction without going over the top.
We have invited Taimoor Kamran, who has been using CoDiagnostiX and Straumann guided surgery for a considerable period of time having learned at the center of that Universe with German Gallucci at Harvard.
Taimoor will be able to present a guided surgery pathway that anybody can access without investing in the hardware and we will be able to present some of our CEREC guided pathway together with an introduction to 3-shape as a digital capture medium.
If this is a subject you might be interested in we think this is a great place to dip your toe in the water. If you are in implant dentistry and it’s not a subject you’re interested in you must be thinking of giving up within the next few years; if you’re not on this bus then you’re going to miss out and lose out over the next five years.
