A little while ago, I was chatting to one of my friends. He's been extremely lucky (and hardworking), and a while ago sold his business for a s**t tonne of money.
It's interesting to watch individual people when they have the good fortune to have this type of privilege land in their life.
He's been living for a while the life of someone who is literally a multimillionaire, buying property, travelling, setting up houses, setting up home gyms, all that kind of stuff.
He told me a story, though, recently about going to buy some jewellery for his wife.
He had pre-ordered something quite special, but when he went to the shop that he usually uses, ‘his jeweller’s’, they offered him a limited-edition watch that they happened to have in stock.
He decided to pick that up at the same time.
He told me the story, and then he looked at me, and then he said, “Where does it end?”
Most of us can only wear one watch at a time.
Buying things only lasts so long, doesn't it?
And you need some purpose.
