Unexpected Opportunities

The thing about unexpected opportunities is that they're unexpected.

When Steve Jobs went back into Apple after he had been kicked out by the CEO he appointed, and then was begged to come back to try and rescue the company, he cut the staff and the products by 75% and ‘hunkered down’, waiting for the ‘next opportunity’.

When he was asked by Walter Isaacson, the biographer, what that opportunity was, he said: “I don't know, I'll have to see when it arrives”.

The only way to come across unexpected opportunities to open your mind and be creative, and to go to places and spaces that you've not been before.

If you keep doing what you're doing, you'll keep getting what you're getting.

Sometimes the most innocuous of meetings or the simplest of connections lead to the most exciting and the most beautiful things.

Keep looking.
