The world seems uncertain at the moment, have you noticed?
The news is bleak and dark, time and time again; this is the problem or the issue that's coming down the track straight away.
But did you remember, it was always like that any minute you might have your head bitten off by a t rex, or the men of the lord of the land would have rode into your village and just picked you up and taken you away or killed you or demanded more taxes.
It's always, always been unpredictable. yet we tell each other a story, but it hasn't, or it wasn't, or it shouldn't be.
It's easier now, though, to see uncertainty from a distance; it's easier to look across the Atlantic and see that the actions of someone over there may directly impact what's happening right now where you are; it's easy to look the other direction and see a war in Europe and wonder how that's going to impact on us, how it's going to affect us financially or physically or compromise our safety.
In the end, day by day, you get up, and you get on with your stuff, and then you get to the end of the day, and then you go again.
While it's ok to have a bigger perspective, really, all the work gets done right here, right at the end of your nose, right in front of you.
The more time you spend on the uncertainty, far away, the less time you can spend fixing the stuff right in front of your face.
