Imagine I could teach you a skill that you could use for the rest of your life. This skill would generate significant income every single year following the initial investment, and you wouldn't have to invest again.
Would that seem like a good deal?
That's how good education works.
Selecting what you choose to learn today if done properly, is like compounding interest.
If I give you a skill that you can use to make money, you can use that skill for the rest of your life.
Generally, the price you can charge for that will go up, your ability to do it will improve, and the money you get in return for the investment will be higher and higher.
Back in 1998 (I think it's), I went on a two-day surgical restorative course with Straumann.
The money that I invested to go there has paid me back literally a millionfold (Actually, more than that, I think).
And so, as I was scrabbling about to raise the money because I had no money, it was hard to convince myself that it would be worth it, but with hindsight, Oh my God, it was one of the greatest things I ever did.
Imagine I could give you a system for marketing, which would pay for the price of any course that you did this year over and over again every year for the rest of your working life. Would that be valuable?
Well, I can. It's called the Bootcamp, and it happens at the start of 2025.
Whatever you learn on the Bootcamp, aside from the marketing system that I will give you, will pay for the course year on year for the rest of your life, which would be an extraordinary financial bonus.
1) It's interesting that people cannot see the wood for the trees and think that taking the time to learn to be better and earn more money than they earned before is not worth it.
2) Imagine I taught you a skill that you don't have, which you could then apply to situations to make your patients' lives better year after year, patient by patient, for the rest of your career.
Well, I can.
3) If you're not already placing implants in dental practice, we can teach you how to do that from a Year One Implant Course, and you can place implants for the rest of your life.
It's fascinating how people don't understand that early investment leads to compounding advantage over years.
The final example I'll give you is this…
About 15 years ago, I instructed Chris Barrow as our business coach for 18 months. We paid Chris £2,000 a month for 18 months, £36,000 if you can't do the maths.
On one of those visits worth £2,000 Chris and I spent a lot of detail looking at key performance indicators in dental practice and so, we invented a system to measure our key performance indicators to allow us to make the financial metrics better in the practice.
That £2,000 that I invested with Chris at that time has compounded year on year to become an astonishing amount.
The way we analyse finance in the practice and the levers we have to lift and drop things depending upon where things are pays that back on a daily or weekly basis.
That compounds over time.
Do you get it?
Proper investment in your future is essential unless you're happy to accept "If you keep doing what you're doing, you will keep getting what you're getting".
