I decided to do something today, this afternoon, and I was happy; it was positive. 

I was going to do this and do it well, which would be good, and I would feel better afterwards.

I didn't really consider the fact that in choosing to go in that direction, I excluded a billion other possibilities in different directions

I never, ever seem to have difficulty finding opportunities, but the key to success (which for me is stimulation and contentment and happiness and well-being and feeling a feeling of worth, I guess) is focus.

Picking one thing and doing it not worrying about the massive, massive container of billions of other things that I actually decided not to do by deciding to do this one.
