When you receive the news that you have been wronged.
If someone has said something horrible about you or disadvantaged you without you knowing.
If you have been snaked, the instant urge is to plot your revenge.
You could spend time figuring out how you’re going to damage the individual who has caused you pain or affected your reputation or your ego and the rest of the day or hours to come can be spent imagining how you will win the battle.
The other option is to revert back to the reframing strategy and to consider karma.
It’s likely that your opportunity will come again to prove who you are and what you believe.
There will be another opportunity to be Faramir of Gondor.
On returning to work this week after a brilliant week away I found out that someone has been trying to disadvantage me from a distance, spoil any sort of reputation that I might have and paint me in a light which I’m not sure is entirely accurate.
I could pick up the phone or type on the keyboard or drive to where the individual is.
But it’s probably best to understand that an opportunity will come again for me to be who I say I am and whether or not karma pays the individual back or not, I’ve got better stuff to be getting on with to influence more people in a more positive way.
