It's your responsibility to know the numbers if you're living in an environment where numbers are important.
For example:
- Domestic finances
- Children's school performance and results
- Commercial work finances
- Training on a bike if that's your thing
Wherever you're looking, and then numbers, apply responsibility for the insight into the numbers, which is yours, which means looking at the numbers and understanding them.
It takes time, it takes thought, a little bit of study, and a little bit of detail.
Failure to do that is a failure to understand where you're going and what could happen next.
It's on you, no one else.
Most of the time, we collect numbers. It is a privilege, a joy, an ability to look into a crystal ball about what might come next. Choose to look or not to look, but don't complain if you don't look and something happens that you don't expect.
