Everyone wants value.
The secret is to charge what you need to charge and then deliver more.
The phrase (from Seth Godin) is as follows: “You'll pay a lot for this, but you'll get more than you paid for”.
That's where the deal comes from.
That's where people feel like they're winning and not being stripped or hustled or busted.
Building a system which gives you enough slack to allow you to overdeliver is one that is likely to stand the test of time.
Building a system where you're trying to get the most money out of the customer for the least amount of quality or investment or input is a short-term game.
You might find out that you win right now, but what you'll find out is that when you buy something else off someone like you, you will lose.
Better to race to the top and finish second, isn't it?
