You're not actually as busy as you think because you can only do one thing at a time.
Your list might be enormous and be adding to minute by minute; the emails might be dropping in, the voicemails, the Whatsapp messages, the list you made three days ago, not complete, but the truth is that you can only do one thing at a time.
In the world of the multitasking myth, it's actually possible to say to someone, "I can't do that just now because I'm doing this".
When someone asks, "Would you like to take on this new thing?" You can either say, "Yes, let me put down this old thing", or "No, this thing that I already have is too good to stop."
To think, though, that we are overwhelmed and end up overwhelmed every single day is our fault for having a list that's too long.
Never try to do more than one thing at once; just try to reduce your list. One way to do this is to say no or to give part of your list to someone else.
