I am not organised.
This can be demonstrated by the fact that last week was the first week in a long time when the blog's publications became disrupted.
If I count right, I'm 4,125 blogs in now, and I've managed to keep a rhythm going here (with the help of the extraordinary people who allow me to publish this, most notably at present, Millie)
And so, you may imagine that I get up every morning at the set time and have a coffee and a healthy breakfast while sitting in front of my computer contemplating my navel and then producing a blog before going on to the other things that I've structured throughout my day in a beautifully mechanical process.
But I don't.
Sometimes, I can produce five or even 10 blogs at a time; sometimes, it's almost impossible to produce one.
Last week was a crazy, hellish, busy week (and I have crazy hellish busy weeks a lot of the time through choice), but I got up on Monday morning early and went to work to welcome the people who attended our Bootcamp business course and then to present to them until 2 o'clock in the afternoon from 8:30 in the morning.
There was limited time there to get a blog done, but I think perhaps I did it during a coffee break or something other than that, and then I went to the airport.
I didn't do a blog at the airport; I did other work, and my plane was delayed, and then my train was delayed. I didn't arrive at my hotel on Monday until approximately 1:30 a.m. German time.
I spent the rest of the week at IDS until Thursday morning when I got up at five and then travelled back to the UK (delayed train and plane again) and then arrived back to present to the business course before coming home and walking the dogs, having something to eat, going out to coach the football training and then coming back to help my daughter write a CV for a job that I had to be on Friday.
All of this was followed by an early Friday start and all-day presentations on the business course before buying a house (yes, we bought a house on Friday) and then going to collect the keys for the new house on Friday evening before going out with friends.
Only when I was out with friends on Friday did I realise that Millie had sent me a message saying I was missing three blogs for the weekend and a business blog.
I don't usually do that, but I did.
If you follow my blog every day, and not that many people do, then I'm really sorry that I let you down and missed out.
I write the blog for myself.
I don't often miss it, and when I do, I realise that I'm a little bit overdone with things to do.
You might think that in order to produce 4,125 blogs in (almost) as many days takes extraordinary organisation, but it doesn't it just takes persistence and agility, a will to do it, and an understanding that sometimes you'll fail, and that's ok because you can just start again on the next 4,125.
