This is the last book to recommend from 2024 if you're following this.
I'm sure you've seen Atomic Habits; it's a sensation. It was released six years ago, and I got there too late, but then we never have enough time to get around to all the books available, not in a billion years.
It's written by James Clear.
This book took the world by storm, and he narrates the audiobook, which I always think is the best way.
It's particularly useful for this time of year when you decide you're going to entirely change your life just towards the end of December, and you hit the start of January running literally and metaphorically, eating better, exercising more, sleeping more, not letting work get in the way, spending more time with your family, doing things which are richer and better, buying less things being better to the environment, being better to yourself, blah, blah, blah, blah and by the time it gets to the seventh of January, you're f*ck*d.
That's not how you do it, as Clear describes.
You do it one day at a time, a little bit by little bit, and it compounds.
It's the same way you save money drip, drip, drip until you have a reservoir.
It's a really, really good book. I wish I could apply the lessons better than I do, but it definitely has made things better in my life in specific ways.
For January, it might be for you.
Have a listen.
