For some of today I have been working on the end of 2026, the stuff we’ll be doing then (hopefully) and the apparently amazing things that are coming down the track.

The risk of course is that I forgot about today.

Constantly running ‘to do’ lists and planning, asking people to do other things to try and get to the place you’re trying to get to, which inevitably will always be out of sight and reach, means you miss out on the brilliance of today.

I had a phone call yesterday, it was very brief, I was walking towards the shed where my Watt Bike is at home. It was an absolutely beautiful morning. The sunrise was incredible. It was frosted everywhere, the sky was bright blue, it was clear – wonderful.

I started to talk to the person I was on the phone with (early in the morning) about that and the sight of it, but they were too busy and wanted to move on to the subject at hand.

That’s a metaphor for all of us, isn’t it?

Ferris Bueller had it right “Life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it”

Note to self – things are good, don’t miss it.
