1) The charity ball is back, and it's on the 23rd of November.
This year, it's your Christmas night out with your team and your friends.
We did it this way because it's Christmas fancy dress, so you can dress up as a Christmas tree, the Grinch, or a fairy, whatever floats your boat. Get your team, come, get drunk if that's your thing, and have a proper Christmas night out with fun and games and dancing and charity.
It'll be amazing.
You can get your tickets by emailing here!
We'd love to see you, but better still, we'd love you to bring a table with your friends.
We've got room for 200, and we're doing pretty well on tickets, so get in and come and see us.
2) On the same day, though, just in case you're bored or looking for something different to do, we're bringing back the learning from failure conference.
This was a huge success the three times we ran it previously, with safety officers from EasyJet, cancer surgeons who didn't get tumours out and got taken to the General Medical Council, cardiologists who tried to put pacemakers into people who already had pacemakers, me on stage with a patient asking why they didn't take me to the GDC from a complication, or any number of brilliant stories.
It's on again, and this year, Eddie the Eagle will be the keynote speaker. (No, honestly, proper Eddie the Eagle.)
We have some great speakers, but also me, and we're talking about different aspects of failure, things that we've done, how we've learned, and what's happened.
It's a wonderfully safe place with a wonderfully different bit of CPD, connection, and community that you won't get anywhere else.
It runs on the day of the ball and finishes at three, so you've got plenty of time to dress up as a Christmas pudding and attend the charity dinner.
It's for our friends, for the people who get us, for our tribe that mixes with us and understands us.
Come and see us. It'll be magic, and the money we make from the ball and the conference will go back into the four key charities that we work with.
We'd love to see you there.
