Autocratic leadership styles need to overpower whoever they are responsible for.
There are many ways to do this, mostly in our society it's through money or status or just general outright bullying.
Transformational leadership empowers instead of overpowering; it encourages people to become stronger and better, and it encourages them to have a voice to be able to be involved and included.
Both come with disadvantages; both work in certain circumstances with different outcomes.
It's hard to do both at once; it's hard to apply both of these to the same situation.
Best to choose which person you want to be, which side of this fence you want to live on and then go all the way into that style.
Just be prepared to accept the consequences of your actions.
