It's been 18 months now since we went on a fact-finding mission, north to Dundee to see whether we thought we could expand our education services in that direction (and west to Ireland).
Tom, Stuart and I (two Scotsmen and a boy from Hertfordshire) took the train up to see the space that would become the Wright's Training Centre, which was modelled around The Campbell Academy Centre in Nottingham.
We started slowly last year with our Year Implant Course and one or two other little things, just to test the concept, and then went bigger and better this year and further on.
Possibilities are endless, and we plan to keep going; such has been the fun we've had and the success that we've seen and the engagement and the desire for people to come and learn from the people that we've put in front of them.
And so, with that in mind, there are a couple of courses here that you may be interested in if you are either:
Number one, North of the border and wish not to travel south,
Number two, South of the border and want to appreciate how wonderful it is to travel north.
The first is The Campbell Academy composite course, which will be on the 15th of October and hosted by Gordon Penman. This will be over, this will be overseen, as with all of our courses in the north, by Colin Burns, who's our director for education for the North and Ireland, and it will be an extraordinary experience and an extraordinary environment, provided by extraordinary people. You'll miss out if you miss it.
Number 2, we're delighted to welcome Carol Tait to provide a wonderful experience in endodontic education on the 16th of October. We've looked long and hard for the people who'll join us in our Scottish faculty, and Carol comes so highly recommended as an educator. If you're interested in improving your endodontic skills The Campbell Academy way, then have a look at this and let us know.
Thirdly, the implant course starts again in October, and it's already more than half booked, which is way past where it was last year, and we expect and know that it will be full. If you're interested in kickstarting your implant career in a standard educational format, but with clinical education, live surgeries, and mentorship together with online mentorship, this would be the place for you; there’s tonnes of information about this, and we've done this more than 20 times.
Moving on from that, there will be a Dental Entrepreneurial Bootcamp, a 5-day business course based in Dundee further on in the year from the 9th to the 13th of November as we start to expand our portfolio north and west.
It's a pleasure (it's a privilege) to be able to come home, to come back and to work with colleagues from where I grew up.
Hope we might see you there, hope we can start to influence people further and wider than that, which we've already done.
Looking forward to it; try to get in touch.
