I've done this before, probably dozens of times now, over the last 4,000+ blogs, and it's always a note to myself, a reminder.

I turned up at work today; I hadn't slept well last night, and my knee was bothering me after the surgery about 5 weeks ago - I think it's probably normal, but it keeps me awake in the middle of the night, and over time, that grinds me down.

Today's day is a lovely day at the Clinic and the Academy. It's the 2nd cohort of the 2025 Year Implant Course (I taught the morning yesterday). I don't have any teaching commitments today, but I'm introducing my friend, Colin Burns, as I always do for day two of the course if I'm here.

I'm then going to do an observation of one of our clinicians that we've started to do in the practice, not to rate them but to learn from me. I haven't watched an endodontic procedure for about 20 years, and it's really cool for me to see other guys work, how they interact with patients and what's going on so that I'm better. I'll spend a little bit of the morning on that.

In the afternoon, I've got a 'strategic meeting' with a potential new partner for the academy.

I'm doing a tour at lunchtime for the delegates to show them around the Clinic, and the rest of the time, it's interspersed with admin, clinical stuff, clinical notes, letters, emails, and that type of thing.

It's actually a lovely and beautiful day, but I'm exhausted, so the first thing I did do was come in, shut the door, fog the glass, and lie down on my sofa for a minute because I felt like I had to sleep for another 3 hours, but I couldn't. After 10 minutes, I got back up, said hi to the guys who had arrived for the course, made myself a coffee, sat down at the desk and was completely overwhelmed with everything that had to be done. I wrote a little list, and then I wrote a blog (Knew less and cared more). T

To write a blog takes minutes because it's dictated onto the Slack system, but once I've done that, I did another one (this one), and then I'll do something else, and something else and something else, and on it will go.

I'll ignore the discomfort in my knee, I'll ignore the tiredness and all of a sudden, it will be the middle of the afternoon, and I'll have done some cool shit, and I'll feel better about myself.

This is the only way we get sh*t done, first things first, one at a time, go, stack 'em up.
