The benefits of large industry meetings.

Today I will be travelling to the ITI Congress in Liverpool, which begins tomorrow 1st December, and runs until Saturday 3rd December.

I have been privileged to be involved in some of the organisation and booking of the Congress and in particular the 'Team Congress Day' for members of the dental team.

The benefits of attending such meetings are massive, not just in the quality of the programme for Continuing Professional Development, but also for the opportunity to meet old friends, make new friends and to share ideas in relation to our sphere of work.

Anyone who enjoys what they do on a day-to-day basis is considered something of a 'geek' and I am quite proud to be a geek in dentistry and love to talk to my colleagues about ideas for my working life. This can make my work even more enjoyable and also benefit my patients.

I look forward to meeting new and exciting people at the ITI Congress who have pioneered advances in there area of expertise and I plan to learn as much as possible.

Our whole team is attending the Congress and we look forward to coming back next week: enthused, re-invigorated and keen to progress even more.

If you are attending the Congress... See you there!
