Skirting around the edges of the ideal demographic

Colin Campbell
by Colin Campbell on 26/11/16 18:00

It’s clear that society portrays an ideal demographic, so for the record, see below.

As far as the ideal demographic is concerned:

I am not thin enough.

I am not hirsute enough.

My muscles are too small.

I am not clever enough.

I am not rich enough.

I am not handsome enough.

I am (definitely) not cool enough.

I am not fashionable enough.

I am not reserved enough.

I am not ‘ordinary’ enough.

I don’t smell nice enough…

… to be included in this fabled ideal demographic.

It’s taken me a lot of blog posts and thinking about a lot of blog posts and writing a lot of blog posts in the other direction (the blog is after all, therapy for me) to realise that actually more than it doesn’t matter that I’m not in the ideal demographic, it’s fantastic!

For those of you still worried that you’re not in it, there’s a party going on over here outside of it and it is fantastic.
