Shiny bright objects (again and again)

Marie Price

There is no joy (over any period of time) in shiny bright objects.

A shiny bright object is:

1. a car

2. a handbag

3. a large dental practice

4. a CV that is impressive to strangers

5. a nose job

A shiny bright object is not:

1. a trip to the cinema with your loved one

2. a walk in the rain with your dog

3. cresting a long steep hill at 6.30 on a Sunday morning on your bike

4. hearing someone say thank you

What is the opposite of a shiny bright object.. I’ll have some more of those.
