I hate going on holiday with my family because for a short while I get to look through a window and see who I could have been. A more patient, more thoughtful and more contented person and I wonder if I am lapsing into the situation where I am just surviving life for the holidays. I always said I would never do that, it is a waste of life to do that but the holidays are just so good.
