Fake plastic trees

Recently I went to the Head Offices of one of the best known dental manufacturing companies in the UK to provide a lecture in a seminar for prospective customers.

The offices are shared in a large industrial estate in London with an open atria in the centre designed to be beautiful and spacious and I guess promote 'well being at work'.

I stood on the balcony to survey what was going on only to realise that the well manicured hedges around the edges of the vestibule and balcony were made of plastic.

What does this actually say about the companies who occupy that space and the brand and ethics of the people there.

Is it just me or does anybody else get it?
