13 Films for 2013... Number 4

Thor - The dark world

In a futile attempt to catch up with my ailing attempt to see 13 films at the cinema in 2013 my cinema buddy Stuart and  I trotted off to see this in 3D (in the premier seats, which is the only way to go at the Showcase)

Straight out of Marvel Studios, it was my introduction to the Marvel films and indeed comics as I have never done this side of things before. Stuart is an expert in these areas and was able to introduce me gently to the Marvel concept.

I can see I have a lot of homework to do to watch the rest of the films and catch up with the stories but I really, really enjoyed this fantasy epic with amazing special effects, great lines from the evil brother, quality bad guys and a fairly reasonable plot with fantastic scenery in and around London in parts of the tale.

Definitely one to recommend and one to encourage me to go through the back catalogue of films whenever I get chance to catch up with the rest of the stories.
