12 Album for 2012... Number 7

Artist: Coldplay

Album: Mylo Xyloto

I think I bought this after seeing Coldplay perform on some television programme or other (might have been The Brits)

When I was buying this, I download most of my music straight onto my phone with automatic downloads onto my computers, I realised that I have every other Coldplay album that has been released on there. I guess this means that I like Coldplay but I was quite surprised in myself as I didn’t think I was that much of a fan.

When I set out to do the ’12 for 2012’ blog I had in mind that I would have loads of different, new, perhaps unheard of albums to report on and I wouldn’t go to mainstream things that everybody has heard of.

This is fantastic though, absolutely fantastic and although I was interested to get the album, I was really, really surprised how good it is. Looking back through the other albums, to me, this is the best by a mile.

My 2 favorite songs at the moment are – Charlie Brown and The Waterfall but it is one of those albums I keep listening to and then changing my mind about my favourite song!

I quite like Chris Martin as a rock star. I think at the moment, if I was given the chance to be a rock star, I would probably be him and I would be delighted that I had released Mylo Xyloto, which is fantastic.
