A true Masters Course

A few years ago, not long after we'd opened the clinic, so I'm thinking it was 21 or 22, probably 21I was introduced to Laurence Masters, we were looking for someone to provide a course in the aligners, to help our GDP group and our academy group understand this treatment modality better in conjunction with the work that they were doing with implants.

Laurence was recommended to me, and so we had some conversations. Laurence Masters is a brilliant individual; he trained in Spain outside British Orthodontics and is one of the orthodontists who can do everything brilliantly.

He embraces the use of aligners and straight-wire orthodontics, and everything orthodontics has to offer, for the benefit of the patient in the right condition.

He is not one of the individuals who says, “I do it this way all the time” he has every tool in his box to treat every type of case.

He provided master classes (pun in the name) several times, but we were not an orthodontic teaching authority, and therefore, people went elsewhere for different things, even though his education is brilliant.

We've moved on from that now massively, as a clinic and as an education business, and we're back to working with Lawrence and bringing him back next year to help us bring together effectively implanting the industry and aligner therapy. We now know that for talented individuals, knowledge of the use of skeletal anchorage in line with therapy is fundamental.

Aligners can only do so much, but in conjunction with skeletal anchorage, (for example, many plates or temporary anchorage devices, tads, ) you can do extraordinary things in the right hands.

Over two days in March, 20th and 21st, Laurence will show you how to do this. He will show you how to do things with your or aligner therapies for patients that you never thought were possible, things which are achievable and accessible to general dental practitioners.

The truth is that Lawrence is mostly there for us. It's a course for us to learn how to do this, so that we can kick on. If you want to be part of it, though, while he's with us, teaching us, then get in touch.

He is the most lovely person, the most wonderful educator, the most brilliant clinician, the most brilliant photographer.

It will be an extraordinary couple of days.

Get in touch.
