It's transfer time again for all the big leagues, and everybody wants a player who can score a bucketload of goals.
And so, this is a common problem in any organisation; finding the superstar or the key player.
Two ways to do that:
1) Buy them in; buy someone who is already proven that will cost because the quality is (allegedly) already there. You'll pay for that, and you'll pay a premium, too.
2) Grow your own. It takes longer, is usually cheaper, and requires much effort. However, you are much more likely to find the culture of the person you're looking for and much less likely to have bad habits.
Interesting isn't, it short game vs long game?
Always a difficult choice.
