The Online Implant Restorative Course

A practical, online course providing practitioners with an overview of straightforward implant reconstruction.

In this innovative and interactive course, practitioners will learn how to reconstruct straightforward implants. The course will be taught over six weeks through a series of modules based on our dedicated online learning platform, which includes hands-on practicals on models.

The modules will involve projects that will need to be undertaken at your practice, and some will involve an element of hands-on training on models. Each project will then be submitted to your course peers and faculty for comment and discussion. This will form the foundation of an immersive and peer-led learning experience the likes of which you may not have experienced before. Academy tutors will be on hand to add insight and feedback where appropriate and get you started on your implant journey.

The course has been designed to be extremely flexible for attendees, enabling delegates to fit the course around their day-to-day schedules. The work can, therefore, be completed at a time that suits the delegate.

A summary of the learning content and key dates can be found below.

FAQs

What is the Online Implant Restorative Course, and who is it designed for?

The course is a 6 week, online course for dentists looking to learn how to restore straightforward dental implants.

How is the course content delivered?

The course will be delivered through two platforms. Firstly, our Learning Management System will store prerecorded lecture content that will be released to you every week. Secondly, there will be a dedicated course Slack channel where you can communicate with your peers and receive coaching support throughout the six weeks. Additionally, each module will have an Academy faculty member assigned as the coach, who will be available to answer any questions you may have about the module.

There will be two live sessions during the course, scheduled for the first and final Monday of the program. The sessions will begin at 7pm and will last for a maximum of one hour. In case you are unable to attend the live sessions, they will be recorded for later access.

Does the course involve practicals and will I need a patient?

The course will involve practical sessions, but they will be conducted on implant models rather than real patients. To facilitate this, we will provide you with the necessary equipment during the first week of the program. If you would like to learn more about the equipment you will be using, please refer to the video above by scrolling up.

How much time should I set aside per week for the course?

You will be required to set aside approximately 3 to 4 hours per week for the course. These lectures and practicals are designed to be flexible, allowing you to watch them at your own convenience. You do not need to book anytime away from work to complete this course.

What if I am away/on holiday for one of the weeks?

The course has been intentionally designed to offer maximum flexibility. If you happen to be away for one of the weeks or fall behind slightly, it's not a problem. You will have the opportunity to catch up, and we will provide you with access to the Learning Management System for six weeks after the final day of the program.

How much does the course cost?

The course costs £1,260, including VAT.

Before the course starts, we also require a £500 deposit for the equipment we send you. This £500 is then returned after the course when we receive the equipment back from you. Please note that we require prompt return of the equipment. If there is a significant delay in the delegate returning the equipment, this may void the return of the course deposit.

Are there any live sessions?

There are two live Zoom sessions, both lasting for 30 to 45 minutes. These take place on the first Monday in week 1 and the final Monday in week 2. If you can not attend these live, they will be recorded for you to watch at a suitable time.

How do I apply for the Online Implant Restorative Course?

To apply for the course, interested individuals can register directly through our website, or you can call to speak to us over the phone.
