Refreshing Your Knowledge of Dental Implants While Doing the Same Course Again

If you have previously undertaken a course in implant dentistry and been unable to kick start your practice, it is really important to understand the reasons why that is the case.

Industry figures show that over 90% of delegates who attend surgical based courses in implant dentistry are not placing implants two years later. What about the opportunity of doing the same course again, some providers will assist you with that and even give you the course for a lesser fee.

Why will it work the second time though if it didn’t work the first time?

Sometimes the reason that people don’t move on to placing implants following surgical courses is because they realise they just don’t like surgery. That is all good and money well spent to understand this at an early stage. If though it is because of a lack of support, mentoring or instruction in how to select, communicate with or consent patients for implants then it is worth looking at another possible vehicle to learn what to do.

Implant courses that aim to encourage delegates to move to implant dentistry in a committed, ethical and structured way need to encompass many aspects, not just academic and practical. If you have been on a course before but you are still committed to being involved in implant dentistry, particularly surgical implant dentistry but things didn’t go well, then don’t give up. It might be the time to have a chat with us at The Campbell Academy to see where you fit in to the pathway and to see whether we can help with different courses to reinvigorate you and to put you back on the road towards 50 implants per year.
