For anyone mad enough to be reading this at six o'clock on Christmas Day or soon afterwards, I'd ask you to have a little look around.
Did you get everything you wanted?
Was it exactly what you hoped for?
Did you need all that paper and all that food, and all that booze and all that money spent which could have been spent in such a better place somewhere else?
Did we all give as much as we could to someone else, someone who had less than us, someone who might have needed it more.
How many times did we say, “Oh, I will just do this because it's Christmas”?
The world is changing quickly, and we need to change with it.
The old traditions that lead to excess and gluttony and convenience and waste; they have to be cast aside some time soon probably no better time than now.
