I took Rosie (my youngest daughter and middle child) to a university open day/tour at Leeds the other day.
These things are always extraordinary because the resources that are available to people who spend £9,000 a year on their course fees are unimaginably good.
The trick is to use the resources.
Paying £9,000 a year for a university degree and just turning up and thinking that the £9,000 will guarantee you a result is one of the most insane and ridiculous concepts in the world.
The ridiculous thing is that it continues to people throughout their life.

You get the most extraordinary online discussion platform via Slack and you use that as a group to get better and better (but if you don’t, you don’t get better).
You get the opportunity to bring patients to the clinic in order to treat patients, plan them, execute it and see what happens but if you don’t, you don’t learn the same way.
You get copies of every bit of material we give you but if you don’t read it, you don’t learn and if you don’t get involved in the course in discussion and contribution, you get much less value.

There's no question that the lifetime value is huge if you sweat the asset.
It’s far too expensive if you turn up and think you can take a tablet to gain the knowledge.
