3 years ago I wrote a blog called “an exceptional opportunity” and it was to advertise a job at the Campbell Clinic.

Twice before I have advertised jobs on this blog and as a result, we have appointed 3 people and they are still very much here.

This one is a little bit different though, this is a chance to start work at the new Campbell Clinic, just as it opens, and to start to make a mark in that extraordinary facility, in case you haven’t seen it, it’s here.

The outlines of the job opportunity are listed below and what you would need to do to have a chance of an interview.

If you know someone who might be interested in this, I hope you pass this on, if you do want a go, I hope you put your hat in the ring.

Opportunities like this one, don’t come along very often and they never came to me.

An Extraordinary Opportunity

The Campbell clinic is expanding and an extremely rare opportunity has arisen for an ethical, enthusiastic, exceptional and motivated young dentist to join the team.

In the first instance this will be a one-year position which will be salaried at £34,000.

I would anticipate that this Person would have recently finished Dental Foundation Training and be in their second year out of Dental School but we would not exclude any individual for application to this post.

The post itself is primarily to support the specialist services within the practice and to provide General Dental requirements that arise, but a short description of the post is as follows:

  • This post is ten sessions per week.
  • It may involve some ‘early’ or ‘late’ shifts but it may not.
  • The post is 50% clinical and 50% developmental; digitally based and research based.

The successful candidate will receive instruction, training and mentoring in the following:

  • Dental Implants
  • Oral Surgery
  • Restorative Dentistry
  • Orthodontics
  • Periodontics
  • Endodontics
  • The business of dentistry
  • All aspects of current thinking in digital dentistry

The successful applicant will receive full and unfettered access to The Campbell Academy courses (for free).

The successful candidate will become involved with and work closely with our post PhD Research Coordinator who works at The Campbell Clinic.

This is an extremely rare opportunity for a ‘foot in the door’ position in a rapidly expanding, forward thinking independent Specialist Practice in Nottingham.

In February the practice will open a brand new 7,000sq ft facility for clinical work, research and education, together with a digital laboratory in Nottingham.

See the fly through above.

All applicants will be considered and the successful applicant will be an enthusiastic linchpin with a thirst for knowledge and a love of dentistry who sees a long career in front of them, opening up to provide exceptional care for patients.

This is not an NHS post and has no NHS commitment.

This post has no targets.

The method of application for this post is up to you – if you are interested in securing the post the closing date is 28th October at 12:00 noon.

The interviews will be held on the afternoon of 12th November.

Shortlisting of applications will take place.

Please decide what you would like to send in lieu of an application that you think will impress us and gain our attention in any format you decide.

While CV’S are acceptable, these will not be enough to gain an interview for this post and you should decide to send further material that you think is important and impressive,

Please send this to our Managing Director at: Hayley@campbell-clinic.co.uk

Please pass this onto anyone you think may be interested in this post.
