Sylvia Plath, the American poet who tragically took her own life in the 1950s after writing some of her best work, is attributed to saying, "Perhaps when we find ourselves wanting everything, it is because we are dangerously close to wanting nothing."
I can very much associate with this.
When I am at my worst or surrounded by my worst people, I gather things.
When I am at my best or surrounded by my best people, I am utterly content and want for nothing.
It's worth thinking about; it's a good marker for the place you're at.
