As we (hopefully) emerge into a world beyond the pandemic, many of us find ourselves in a situation where we are waiting for the next crisis.

People who have ‘won’ through the pandemic have been able to adapt and modify their behaviours and activities into the new circumstances in which they find themselves.

One of the problems with how long this has lasted is that people have become very astute at planning and waiting for the next crisis to arrive.

This is clearly a double-edged sword.

You might see an opportunity in the distance but will decide that you’ll wait before you attempt to gather the opportunity towards you in case a crisis arises in the meantime.

Before the spring of 2020 it seemed that the world had more rules and a little bit more predictability and a little bit more stability.

It may take a while for many of us to believe that to be true again.

Breaking free of those constraints of the understandable fear and trauma that people have suffered might be the only route to progress again.
