This weekend marks the final weekend of the latest version of our digital business course, which is now grandly called the ITI Digital Dental Entrepreneurial Program powered by The Campbell Academy.

The next version of this course will be in March, and it will be global.

Having watched it for the past five or six weeks, Straumann has now decided that they might want to buy a complete edition of this for themselves straight off for 40 people.

It does feel like this course is going places and quite big places, but the most extraordinary thing is the journey you see people taking, which happens every time.

And so anonymously, I'm going to pick out one delegate who started the course approximately six weeks ago, complaining that it looked like it was full of 'corporate shit' and expressing their hatred for that type of thing.

It's interesting when you see this from my position, which I guess is the director of the course; even though it doesn't feel like that, it's not my job to interact with every post, not in any way, as we have different coaches for different modules doing this. So, I should not jump in even though I'm emotionally invested.

Luckily enough, on this occasion, I didn't. Still, I observed as this individual (who works in a relatively small practice that they recently took over in a heavy NHS environment) transformed throughout the course.

The most surprising part of this was that the module that appears to have been most influential for this individual was the leadership module, which comes after the HR module and before the strategy module.

Make no mistake, I have questioned whether a leadership module is suitable in this course, which is generally for people who have smaller businesses, but my long-held belief is that leadership is more important in smaller businesses, not less important and much more important in smaller teams who get to see the leader close up on a day to day basis.

Watching the 'corporate shite' individual work through the leadership module and then present a manifesto for leadership in their practice to move it forward was more of a joy than I can possibly imagine.

I know exactly how transformational this will be for that practice and for that individual.

I can see how much happiness (and hard work and stress) that will bring as they change the culture of their business to the one that they always wanted.

It's great this course is flying, and it's great that people are finally noticing what we also knew all along.

But the most important thing is that it is changing people and changing their businesses.

The Campbell Academy is there to positively influence as many people as we can, and through this course, we have just influenced another large group of people, dentists, staff and patients through a process of transformation from 'corporate shite' to responsible business owners.
