It was supposed to be hard to find our dinner.
You went into the forest to see if you could find it and if you didn’t you were hungry.
If you didn’t go with the people into the forest you waited until they came back to see if they had anything from the forest.
Sometimes you won and sometimes you lost.
It was exciting.
For many of us now, that excitement has gone.
We never feel hungry or thirsty and if we’re tired, we sit down.
We know that if we turn up today and do pretty much the same as yesterday then tomorrow, we’ll be able to eat and watch and sit.
It’s probably why within the next couple of years more than 50% of adults in the UK will be classified as obese.
It’s alright to feel hungry.
It’s alright to feel cold.
It’s alright to feel (a not insignificant amount of) discomfort.
At our fundamental base we were designed for adventure.
It’s seems there are many people who’ve insulated themselves against adventure and it looks like it’s making them sad.
