So, the brand new, super, brilliant, all singing and all dancing, shiny, bright and clean Campbell clinic, opens fully operationally for business on the 6th January 2020, (unless there is a colossal f**k up along the way, which is entirely possible.)
Time to think about the speech.
If truth be told, I have been writing an opening night speech for 18 months, since we acquired the land.
I have been doing it whilst I am on my bike.
There are a thousand different versions of this now and all of them have already been took on.
I watched last weekend as Shaun, (Tom of TCA’s Dad) did a speech at his daughter’s wedding.
It was a big deal for him, it was a big deal for me, it will be a bit like the speech I give on opening night.
(P.S – opening night will not be the 6th January)
It won’t be a speech for you, it will be a speech for me.
I think I will have earned the chance to have the microphone for a short while.
It will be a line in the sand and there will be s**t going on in the back ground that I won’t talk about, because there is always s**t going on in the background; but for a short while, we’ll celebrate and I will speak about something that I won’t forget and people will smile and they will probably clap and then they will get back to work.
In truth, it looks as though there will be at least 5 opening nights, (it's 65 seats a night) 2 for dentists, 2 for patients, (there is quite a lot of interest from our patients) 1 for the guys from the industry, as there is quite a lot of those who support and help, apart from those though, there will be one where I speak, that one will be for family and everybody who works there and for very close friends and it will be the first one. That speech will be one night only and it will not be recorded, either electronically or in writing.
So, we start here, if you would like a ticket to come (and it will be ticket only), email me here.
