The Rhythm

Maybe that’s what I have lost the most since, I thought it was March but it’s probably since a year ago in March, is the routine, the rhythm and the habits that I used to work with.

The colossal project of building the new practice and the 2 other buildings overtook my life through 2019 to the point where fitting other things in became more and more difficult and then my blackboard was wiped clean like everyone else’s or almost everyone else’s in March 2020.

It’s a forest fire, it clears the ground and when the dust settles there is an opportunity to build something again using the best bits from before and cast aside the worst bits.

It’s totally unreasonable to think that you’ll be able to rebuild to anywhere close to where you were in a matter of weeks or months.

Once you get your head around that fact, it’s possible to plot a course way into the future and then start to embrace the excitement of something new.
