The opportunity of the broken promise

Nowadays much of what we build is a thin veneer, over lower quality products.

A polished turd.

In a world where people promise much and then deliver as little as possible to maintain as bigger margin for themselves as they can, the opposite direction is bound to be a winner in the longer term.

Promising and then delivering (or even better, over-delivering) is sure to cause a buzz, to get people talking about you and create raving fans.

Heading in the other direction is likely to work for a short while but soon word will be round about who you are and what you stand for and about all the promises you’ve broken.

Keeping promises is an easy thing to say but living it, that is where the value is in the long term.
