The COVID caveats

“Once this is all over”.

“As long as we don’t enter a second lockdown/second wave/ further pandemic”.

Probably the end for all of us the process of uttering these words in almost every single sentence and certainly every single sentence when I talk to people at work.

We are where we are now, and I think it’s probably best that we get on and make the best of now.

It’s more than 14 weeks ago since we closed the practice and now more than 4 since we opened again.

The caveats give us a chance to push things along and kick the can down the road but kicking the can down the road just wastes life as we wait for normality to return or better times.

It’s a little bit like living from holiday to holiday.

All retch and no vomit. It never quite gets there.

Time to get to work, doing whatever work it is that needs to be done.
