What are you collecting?

Are you collecting money?

Are you collecting status? (Often done through collecting money)

Are you collecting friends/likes/engagements? (Another form of status).

Are you collecting good feelings, from being altruistic?

Are you collecting things to moan about or to humblebrag about, because you sacrifice yourself for others too much?

We all live in a world of collecting.

Society today says that, whatever we do, we should get more of and it would only better if we have more.

The thing is, now that we’re not being chased by Saber-tooth tigers or Dinosaurs, or dying of famine (not many of us here anyway), we get closer to the top of the Pyramid.

The closer you get to the top of the Pyramid, the more you wonder why you’re collecting.

It’s your choice, whatever you decide to collect.

Just be sure that whatever you’re investing your time and effort in, it’s worth it and it will feel worth it, further down the track.
