The point of a Peer Review Group is to help expand your knowledge through discussion with like-minded colleagues.
I always think back to the Peer Review Group we had in the 1990s when I was a VT, with some Principal dentists from Derbyshire where I learned tonnes and tonnes about practice.
It’s really important that we keep this group going in 2019 and try to get as much input as we can from members of the group to help us all have an open and honest discussion about practice and how we can improve, but also to celebrate the good bits!
The next meeting is January 24thand will be held at the practice. It will be a case discussion evening to discuss anything that’s brought there by the people attending but I will also have a bank of stuff we can use for more significant case analysis.
Through 2019 we will be changing the Peer Review meetings again and individual clinicians from The Campbell Clinic will be hosting meetings to give it a different slant, including perio, endo, ortho and restorative.
I am also hoping (following discussions with you guys) to put some live clinical sessions in using the audiovisual system at the clinic so that we can have a patient in the chair and discuss various different treatment scenarios. I am hoping this will provide you with some really good learning points and discussion and help develop us as well.
This group is about collaboration and cooperation. It’s about finding ways of working together to make us all better, help us enjoy our dentistry more and serve our patients more honestly and in a better way.
